Strategy · Disruption · Economy · Industrial change
Philippe Fèvre
I advise boards and senior executives, after twenty-five years running businesses in financial services and manufacturing. I write to bring my practitioner and academic sides together, so using evidence from research and tested against decisions I have had to take myself.
About
I am a business executive and university professor, with more than twenty-five years of international experience across financial services, manufacturing and advisory work.
In the financial industry I held leadership roles across several regions. In manufacturing industry I held executive positions at Grupo Lantero and DS Smith, with responsibilities covering sixteen countries and more than eighty plants, and I went on to lead PackBenefit, a sustainable packaging company, as CEO, where I remain a shareholder. Today, alongside strategic and innovation advisory work for a range of companies, I am building Axonetic, my new venture in neurotechnology.
Graduated as engineer, and after several postgraduate degrees, I hold a Doctor of Business Administration (Cum Laude) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, where I teach Master’s-level courses in leadership, innovation and business administration. My doctoral research examined why some highly disruptive products succeed at launch while others, no less innovative, fail.
Who I work with
Boards, senior executives and founders facing decisions that cannot be postponed: innovation programmes, disruptive business models, industrial transformation, and the integration of acquisitions. Most of my work begins where the textbook ends and the constraints of a real company begin.
What makes this different
Executive practice and academic rigour, together. Consultants rarely carry the consequences of their advice, and academics often write about companies they have never had to run. Having spent my career on both sides, I write and advise from evidence tested against decisions taken in person, with real capital and real people at stake.
